UNITED BY FATE – Bloodsoil (1999)

United By Fate were a hardcore punk band from Singapore, emerging from the country's underground music scene with a sound that combined the aggression of traditional hardcore punk, the metallic heaviness of crust punk and the intensity of 1990s new-school hardcore. Their 1999 release Bloodsoil features seven tracks, including "Pride", "World Song", "Gulf", "Soldier", "Too Deep" and "Corpo(Rip)", delivering approximately 21 minutes of hard-hitting music built around heavy guitar riffs, driving rhythms, aggressive vocals and a combination of fast-paced passages and weightier arrangements. The band's approach incorporates multiple vocal styles and metallic hardcore influences while retaining the urgency and confrontational spirit of punk. Rather than following a strictly traditional hardcore formula, United By Fate explored a heavier, more varied sound that reflected the changing character of underground hardcore during the late 1990s. Bloodsoil offers an interesting glimpse into Singapore's independent hardcore scene and its connections to the wider Southeast Asian punk movement.

Visual inspection shows the cassette and tape to be in generally acceptable condition and it appears playable, but due to the age and nature of used cassettes, playback quality cannot be guaranteed.

If the exposed tape strip appears dusty or dirty, it may require manual cleaning before playback. Experienced cassette collectors will generally be familiar with the appropriate cleaning methods and handling precautions for older tapes.
