Drive! An Hour Of Cruisin' Classics is a 1995 compilation released by EMI Records in association with British music magazine Q, originally distributed with its October 1995 issue (No. 109). Conceived as a soundtrack for the open road, the collection brings together 15 tracks spanning several decades of popular music, featuring an eclectic selection of artists including Blur, Kate Bush, Morrissey, Kraftwerk, Paul McCartney and The Stranglers. Rather than concentrating on a particular genre or era, Drive! celebrates the diversity of rock and pop through a mixture of established classics and distinctive recordings from artists representing different musical generations. The combination of British alternative rock, new wave, electronic music and classic pop reflects the broad editorial tastes of Q during the 1990s, when the magazine was an influential voice in British music journalism.
